The length of the trains seems to be similar to the other main lines in Shenzhen - no longer from what I can see. The biggest problem is the frequency of the trains - most of the day they run once every 10 minutes. The images with the overcrowding are common (sometimes worse) during rush hours. With that said the new line 11 is also the fastest service in China and has reduced travel time between Futian and the Airport to 30 minutes - cutting at least half the time off that commute. It has also reduced traffic on what was an overcrowded line 1. For those of us living near line 11 the addition has been a massive change for the better - I only hope that they put more trains on the line and increase the frequency to match what is running on the other lines.
