PHOTOS: Changchun covers up dead plants with green bush wallpaper

Feeling gloomy on a winter morning? A bit of greenery might cheer you up on your way to work.

That’s why workers in Changchun, the capital city of northeast Jilin Province, have been covering dead roadside bushes with wallpapers featuring bright green and surreal-looking plants instead. Because why go with the real deal when you so easily (if not convincingly) fake it?

Maybe try harder next time.

If they say the grass is always greener in China, you better believe it, because sometimes they also spray-paint it.

Workers in Chengdu, Sichuan were spotted spaying green dye on their grass last year.

They would probably fake a blue sky too if they could.

Well, at least they tried.
