PHOTOS: Armada of fishing boats pours out from Zhejiang as fishing season reopens

No, it's not a fleet of volunteers setting out to reclaim the Diaoyu Islands for the motherland.

 

 

Twelve noon on Tuesday marked the opening of fishing season in the East China Sea off of Zhejiang province, although a government-mandated rest of three and a half months to help fish stocks in the area recover.

 

 

Boats from Zhoushan, Ningbo and Taizhou set off in droves as soon as the season opened, racing each other to get to prime fishing grounds first.
