In awe of the Takeshi Kaneshiro Tree's saga, whereby an ordinary tree blown down by Typhoon Rammasun was mourned nationally and then resurrected by local authorities due solely to superstar Takeshi Kaneshiro having once sat under it, an anonymous genius in Taiwan has created this.

The "Takeshi Kaneshiro Tree Generation Tool" lets web users transplant the Japanese-Taiwanese actor and singer to any location, giving any place under threat the magical defensive powers of celebrity association. Based on the new oft-heard protest slogan "you save your own country," the online tool has declared that "Kaneshiro will save our country."

We can think of more than a few places throughout China and Hong Kong that could also use the Takeshi touch:

Gulou neighborhood in Beijing, historic Beijing area currently being levelled

Qiqihar building blasted with zero safety precautions

Wenzhou church having cross removed

Pro-democracy protestors being pointlessly arrested in Hong Kong
