The video depicted the bear standing upright and interacting with visitors, leading many to comment on the bear's "human-like behavior."
However, Hangzhou Zoo claims that during the scorching summer months, it is impossible for any person to endure the heat while wearing a bear costume.
This incident brought to mind the Korean drama Secret Zoo, a story that involved employees dressing up in animal costumes to keep their struggling zoo operational.
Although the recent occurrence in Hangzhou Zoo was not a case of human impersonation, it's worth noting that such instances have indeed happened in the past.
In April 2019, a zoo in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, was reported by Xinhua News to have staff members dressing up as gorilla and black bear, monkeying around for everyone's amusement.

Responding to speculations, Changzhou Zoo clarified that this was part of a special April Fool's Day event where they introduced "Real vs. Fake Animals" for amusement.

However, some visitors found the RMB180 admission fee to see "humans impersonating wild animals" a bit pricey.
