A couple in the middle of a divorce in Ningbo, Zhejiang province are fighting a bitter custody battle, not over their child, but over books

According to the Qianjiang Evening News, the two book lovers accumulated a collection of over one thousand books while they were together, and now they're fighting over who gets to keep what. The pair have appeared in court five times to debate the matter, and have finally divided the collection satisfactorily, one book at a time. They're now able to move on to the less important matters, such as property, money, and the kid.

Their now sundered book collection included a mix of traditional classics, fiction, and college textbooks. In addition to her share, the wife was also awarded custody of the couple's child and a one-time alimony payment of 150,000 yuan ($25,000).
