Apr 18: Way Out East

Way Out East is back at Dada for a night of afro, soul, funk, jazz, house and electronic. This smorgasbord of music has a little something for everyone looking to kick off their weekend on the early side.

Apr 19: The Last Hurrah

As part of the continuing redevelopment work at Zhang Court in Jing’an, it's time for a goodbye to Tomatito, El Ocho and Logan’s Punch. But to say farewell they're holding The Last Hurrah on Friday night with free flow tapas and drinks for RMB350 at any the three establishments. Drink up, and here’s your last chance to remember all the good times had before they shut their doors for good.

Apr 19: AlunaGeorge

Known for their extremely danceable club anthems, the London electronic duo AlunaGeorge are performing at Arkham on the 19th. Having collaborated with DJ Snake on the club hit ‘You Know You Like It’, they’ve established themselves through a series of solo albums with their bright and upbeat tunes, even opening for Coldplay in 2017.

Apr 19: Kim Ann Foxman and China Social Club

The Hawaiian DJ earned her stripes as the vocalist for, and musician in, Hercules and Love Affair, but has kept them thanks to her piano house, breakbeat, techno and rave sets. She’ll be playing with China Social Club this Friday at Electric Circus for a dance heavy night.

Apr 19-20: Old-School vs. New School

Shake’s six-piece band are mixing up the raw funk and soul with the millennial classics on Friday and Saturday nights. Expect hip hop, R&B, house and even techno - it all goes back to funk, soul, jazz and rock. This concert and dance party is all about exploring their roots and slamming the funk next to some new sounds and dancing into the stars. Dress code: Throwback vs. Hypermodern.

Apr 20: Alter. Lunar Dance Vol 4

The skies are blue-ish, the weather’s warming up and Alter. is keeping on with their rooftop parties to usher in the season. There will be food, drinks and an eclectic soundtrack taking you on a sonic journey (or so they say) of house, disco, Italo, funk and more.

If you’re a fan of the one and only Nic Cage, you really can’t afford to not be at RIINK this weekend. A 420 celebration of an iconic actor, with music brought to you by Prof. Geo (frequently found behind the decks at Specters every Thursday), this is... it’s good. It’s really good.
