Taking place in Beijing, Hong Kong, and Shanghai for one night only (November 12), top restaurants across the city dedicate one table for 10 to the Chi Fan For Charity (sponsored by Epermarket) cause and put on a one-of-a-kind multi-course menu, which can be bought by any group of people. Afterwards, a legendary after party with free-flow drinks takes the celebrations long into the night.
This year’s line up is nothing short of stellar, including some of our favorite chefs and restaurants, from high-end classics and veteran chefs to up-and-coming movers and shakers. Over the next few days we'll be highlighting key dishes which will be featured on the menu of CFFC venues.
Today's sneak peak is from Hai by Goga..

Kampachi Sashimi with Truffle, White Soy and Chili
Aptly named for its sky-high perch atop the Shanghai Education Hotel, Chef/Owner Brad Turley’s eatery is a glorious love affair between Californian and Asian cuisine. We could wax lyrical about the rooftop patio’s low-key charms and its incredible sunset views, but it is really the generously portioned, packed-with-flavor food that sets this restaurant apart.
Part of Turley’s talent lies in his ability to create dishes that pay homage to his favorite culinary inspirations without being derivative. One example of this you’ll see on the CFFC menu is his twisted tribute to a dish by Japanese master chef Nobu Matsuhisa (of Nobu restaurant fame). Here, fresh kampachi (Almaco jack) delicately intermingles with white soy and aromatic truffle oil, each slice topped with a fiery green chili.
As for the rest of the menu, Turley promises an “all-out celebration of reef, beef, Champagne and cocktails.” Sounds unmissable to us.
