The only thing we love better than sipping on a warm, boozy beverage it's when we are doing it for charity. Bitter is spreading the holiday cheer by donating 20 percent of the hot buttered rum sales to Heart to Heart.
This special fund provides corrective surgery for Chinese children with congenital heart defects. Since their launch, Heart to Heart has sponsored 1,308 heart surgeries for children from all over China. The 100 percent volunteer-run organization is completely non-profit and all of the donations are spent on surgeries.
At the culmination of the two-week promotion, Bitter will throw a Thanksgiving-themed party featuring drinks and bartenders from Plantation, West Winds and Peddlers serving up festive cocktails. All the proceeds of the night will also benefit the charity. Watch this space for more details.
Going back to the drink, we are hearing comparisons (from Bitter's Camden Hauge) to Harry Potter butterbeer with BOOZE. We will be needing several mugs of those as soon as possible. See you tomorrow!
