Mifan or Mafan: The Sweet Spot+

This fresh dining spot inside China World Mall has rebranded for the buzzing urbanites in Guomao. Whipped up by chefs from China World Hotel, The Sweet Spot+ presents a fuss-free experience of balanced meals in a cheery atmosphere. Beyond the cake counter at the front is a juice counter, salad counter and bread counter, separated by long tables with tall stools, with more low seating in the back. The fresh salad bowls are vibrant and light, but there is also a hearty menu of protein-filled meal sets. Chicken leg with rice and vegetables (RMB48) might sound too simple for a filling lunch, but it turns out to be satisfying in both quantity and quality. The seabass instant noodle (RMB48) is a combo of al dente noodles and decently-cooked fish with mild flavors that surprisingly mix well together. The rest of the menu plays on a similar vibe with various proteins, from salmon to steak, giving light yet nutritious dishes that won't leave you craving a nap when you return to the office.
