Napa

With an emphasis on high-quality ingredients, Napa’s Chef Colin Smith creates California-inspired dishes that are equal parts sophisticated and comforting. At new Napa, one long, beautiful wooden table – long enough to seat about a billion people – runs the length of the entire front wall, which itself is made of stunning floor-to-ceiling windows. The new open kitchen is connected to a bar, which will be serving cocktails in addition to Napa’s list of quality wines.

La Villa

Meet La Villa, a casual Italian joint, located a couple doors down from its French sister restaurant Bistro 108 (which, incidentally, was ‘that’ restaurant last summer), in the charming Liangmaqiao compound Caochang. La Villa isn’t breaking new ground, but it is a fine place to chomp on a pizza, knock back a couple glasses of wine and… who knows what else? That's really all you need.

TiensTiens Qianmen

Déjà vu? Not really: TiensTiens just opened a new branch in Qianmen, inside the designforward Beijing Fun complex – and it’s as French as ever.

Uno Bar and Grill

It’s classic American dining, but not as you know it. And you don’t really want to know it.

Claret

The ‘fusion’ restaurant is by the same folks behind Chaoyang Park fave Deli de Luxe and, with the 798 backdrop, one would expect its dishes to reflect its creative surrounds. Thankfully, Claret delivers.

Rollbox

The original Rollbox on Xingfucun Lu was a crowd pleaser. Reasonably priced banh mi and solid delivery times made for a strong lunch and dinner combo. We all know the story though: The bricks came. And now, after taking time to look around for new locations, Rollbox has reappeared just around the corner from their old digs. And they’ve added a cocktail bar to the recipe.

Pho Society

Don’t let the purple neon lights and Champagne bottles fool you – Pho Society has put style ahead of substance.

Hong Kong’s Café Landmark is the first place you’ll see when you enter Wangfujing’s ritzy new WF Central, which makes it feel more like a hotel lobby than a traditional cafe.

Lincey Italian Cuisine

lincey-italian.jpg

Often in the capital, pasta is overcooked, soft and usually bland. Thankfully, that is not the case at Lincey, in Chaowai SOHO.
