Man faced with easily resolved dilemma after girlfriend and ex both leap into river

A 20-year-old man surnamed Wu had to decide who to save recently when both his current and ex-girlfriends jumped into the Yongjiang river and demanded to be rescued.

Wu's old flame was reportedly the first of the threesome to make the leap in Ningbo's Zhenhai District in the early hours of yesterday morning. After they walked down to the river bank together at about 3:00am, she threw into the water in a desperate bid for attention.

"Envious" that her apparent rival in love was taking center stage, Wu's new girl then jumped in as well to test who he really felt for.

When faced with this dilemma, Wu is said to have acted "resolutely," wrenching his current girlfriend up from the river then swiftly exiting the scene alongside with her, leaving his ex to save herself.

The ex then "coolly" whipped out her mobile and rang up a friend, saying "I'm in a river." Her friend then called police and firefighters to the scene, who discovered a woman bobbing in the muddy water some 20 meters from the shore.

Wu and his girlfriend later returned to the scene after his ex was heaved up with ropes. As she was returned to dry land, her and Wu reportedly had the following brief exchange:

Wu: "It's been four months since we broke up, what are you still bothering me for?"

Ex: "I just want to bother you!"

What is true love if not that? We just hope the young Mr. Wu doesn't come to regret his decision to save even one of them.
