A young boy from Brisbane, Australia is being hailed as a "lucky charm" after helping China's goalkeeper win their match against Saudi Arabia at the 2015 Asian Cup.

12-year-old Stephen White was standing behind China's goalkeeper on ballboy duty when the opposition were given a penalty with both teams at 0-0. Goalkeeper Wang Dalei looked back to ask White whether he should dive left or right to block the shot.

After sizing up Wang's opponent Naif Hazari, White suggested he keep left.

Following the boy's advice, Wang successfully blocked the shot and China then went on to win the game 1-0.
