Hong Kong man draws knife at Cable TV HQ after staff wouldn't cancel his subscription

After unsuccessfully trying to terminate his family's Cable TV subscription by telephone and email for months, a man in Hong Kong threatened staff at i-Cable head office at knifepoint and injured three in a last-ditch attempt to cancel his subscription.

The 19-year-old knifeman, surnamed Ng, arrived at Cable TV's Tsuen Wan HQ on Monday morning in what was initially a peaceful attempt to cut through red tape and directly cancel his family's subscription face-to-face. When staff merely directed him to a room with a telephone to call the customer hotline, however, he finally snapped, producing an 18-inch-long blade.

 

 

 

After the incident, a tab has subsequently appeared on Cable TV's website to direct users directly to service cancelation information. As far as ridiculous service cancelation epics go, however, it's going to be difficult to pass this infamous Comcast phone call:
