Sathaporn Kindergarten in Thailand's Chiang Mai province has been criticised after the school uploaded photos of pupils sat on to of crocodiles to Facebook.
The photos were taken during a school trip to a crocodile farm on Friday, during which teachers allowed the kids to climb on top of the crocs (which were not constrained in any way) and pose for a photo. Seemingly unaware of the potential danger, the photos were posted online in a Facebook album with the title "Who says crocodiles are scary?"
The photos came in for harsh criticism from online commenters, who felt the school put the kindergarteners in unnecessary (and obvious) danger, and the album has since been removed.
Sutsri Wongamarn, secretary-general of Thailand's Ministry of Education, said the school was too lenient in fulfilling the kids' request, and the ministry has "warned [them] not to risk the kids' lives again".
