Entrepreneurial Taobao sellers have turned the now infamous Olympic rings glitch during the opening ceremony of the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics opening ceremony into a branding opportunity

"Sochi Problems" t-shirts, originally created by New York designer Michael Miller, are selling like hot cakes on Taobao. One Zhejiang-based seller, who claimed to be the first to offer the shirts, received over 200 orders in the first 24 hours.

However, despite huge demand, customers have to wait at least 10 days for the shirts to be made. "Because of Spring Festival holidays, many factories haven't opened yet," the Taobao seller explained. The shirts range in price from 20 to 200 yuan ($3.3 – $33) each.

Previous hot items on Taobao have included breast milk soap and fake CCTV decals to help drivers avoid getting tickets
