A Beijing man reportedly became so frustrated about his fruitless attempts to have a child with his wife that he set fire to a car. But this didn’t just happen once. The man, surnamed Zhang, torched more than 20 vehicles around the capital during a period of over a year, the Beijing Morning Post reported Wednesday.

Well that’s one way to deal with your anger.

Zhang began his torching spree in 2015 and set fire to vehicles in numerous areas around the capital, including Chaoyang and Tongzhou. The police finally nabbed the serial arsonist in September 2016, after a man, surnamed Wang, noticed flames emanating from his vehicle and immediately called the police.

While officers weren’t able to salvage Wang’s vehicle, they were able to identify and detain Zhang after reviewing surveillance footage in the area. After investigating the incident, police confirmed that Zhang had set fire to more than 20 vehicles around Beijing as a way to cope with his inability to have a child with his long-term wife.
