Shanghai Cruise Ship Passenger Stranded at Sea for 38 Hours

38 hours is a long time to be stuck somewhere, an airplane, a hospital, the ocean…

Which is exactly where one Shanghai tourist found herself after falling from a cruise ship that was on its way into Shanghai’s Wusong Port.

Traveling with her parents from Fukuoka, the 31-year-old woman, surnamed Fan, was reported missing from the Mariner of the Seas on August 10th around 9pm.

Eventually (only a minor two days later), a fishing boat picked up the cold, hungry and (surprise!) ’emotionally distressed’ very lucky lady.

She attributes her survival to ‘strong willpower’. We’d say she has pretty thick skin too!
