Fire laid siege to Tianhe’s Zhongtai Plaza, near Guangzhou East Railway Station, yesterday afternoon, according to social media posts.
The cause of the fire has yet to be released by local authorities or media, but if social media posts are to be believed, the blaze was the result of a savage kitchen fire. This assessment is currently difficult to verify but it does make sense, as the building is home to a number of restaurants on its lower floors.
