A cold front has arrived in China affecting many parts of the country including Shanghai with high winds and gales expected, reports Shanghai Daily.
Northern areas, including Inner Mongolia, Gansu, Hebei and Beijing, were the first to experience the gales and temperature drops yesterday which will hit most of China later today, the National Meteorological Center (NMC) said.
The NMC forecast that in the next three days, northeast China’s Heilongjiang, Jilin and Liaoning will be hit by heavy snow.
Temperatures in Shanghai are also due to head further south this week to around 7 degrees celcius (44 degrees fahrenheit.)
