Over the weekend, travelers at Nanchang Changbei International Airport in Jiangxi Province were terrified to witness the airport's roofing completely collapse due to heavy winds.

Videos circulating online captured the dramatic moment large pieces of metal came crashing down, hitting vehicles parked outside the depaturres hall on Sunday afternoon. In some videos, people could be heard screaming as they fled the scene.

At the time of the collapse, gale-force winds had reached over 30 meters per second — just one level below a hurricane.

No injuries were reported, however the extreme winds briefly suspended flights. By Monday morning, flight schedules were back to normal.
