I would like to point out that it's not possible for foreigners to have the QR Code on the 12306 app. I tried when I took the train from GZ to Futian two days ago, and I was always getting the "system's busy, please try again later". Called the customer care so many times, every time a different reply. The last person I spoke to basically said it's not available for holders of foreign passports at this time, and that the registration it's only for online purchase (!?). As usual, when it's about customer care for foreigners, they don't get any training at all, and they're always clueless...It's so frustrating...
