Qixi Festival (七夕节), also known as the Chinese Valentine's Day, is celebrated on the 7th day of the 7th lunar month and is rooted in the legend of two lovers separated by the Milky Way who are only allowed to reunite onece a year.

The appetizer platter includes caviar-topped scallop, Chaozhou-style goose liver, and chilled squid with chili oil. A highlight is the five-hour double-boiled soup of wild matsutake and black-bone chicken, offering a clear and collagen-rich broth.

Mains feature braised 14-head abalone in oyster sauce and M9 Australian wagyu short ribs. The taro and winter melon braised with fresh crab meat absorb a delicate oceanic sweetness. A painstakingly deboned crucian carp congee provides a silky, fresh finish.

Dessert offers snow pear with tremella and rose-flavored yam cake, complemented by honeyed Oriental Beauty oolong tea. Each table’s floral arrangement serves as a take-home gift, extending the romance of the evening.
