Passengers aboard line 13 of the Beijing Subway had a more exciting journey than usual on Friday night when three subway doors failed to close on the overground route.

The malfunction occurred at 7:17pm after the train left Wudaokou Station en route for Dongzhimen. No passengers were injured and nothing fell from the train, which the driver stopped after he became aware of the incident and called for a technician.

Web users joked it was the special "sightseeing car" of the Beijing Subway.

The safety oversight can safely be described as the second-worst thing a Beijing Subway door has done in recent memory, after that time in November when a train took off with a woman still trapped in between the doors, killing her.
