This May we witness the initial foray of new School Bar series - "Beijing Rock 101." The series is curated and organized by the one and only Marshall, who you may know as local DJ "Chairman Wow," signer/saxophonist of Swinging Barbarellas, Temple Bar booker, "Rock Against Jams" creator, and the innovator of many other projects in the Beijing music/arts scene. Marshall will be exploring all facets of the scene with this series, will feature low priced tickets, and utilize a variety of online promotions and live gig feeds. Definitely keep your eyes peeled for all things "Beijing Rock 101" over the coming days, weeks, and months.

Tonight we kick things off by saying goodbye to a good friend and fellow comrade. Alex drums in instrumental math rock trio Rhonda as well as pyscho garage rock outfit Swinging Barbarellas. Say goodbye and celebrate his birthday with him before he moves to Germany as we all indulge in his two fantastic bands one last time at School Bar.
