Sep 1, 10pm, free entry before 11pm otherwise RMB50. Elevator, see event listing.

Sep 1: Spectrum

Sep 2: China Social Club

China Social Club

Saturday sees DJ PCJ and DJ Frau, better known as the China Social Club, injecting some funk into Empire with the duo promising breaks, whistles, humor and sing-alongs amongst others. Dancing shoes are mandatory for this one.

Sep 2: Ernesto Chahoud

Ernesto Chahoud

Known to house a vast collection of rare records, Lebanese DJ Ernesto Chahoud swings by Dada to grace the ears of attendees with offerings ranging from Ethiopian funk, Middle Eastern garage rock and rare belly dance records to name but a few. Don't miss your chance to catch this seasoned collectors' set from the owner and founding member of the Beirut Groove Collective

Sep 2: On Top

On Top

Fancy getting all dolled up, catching a breath-taking view of the city and hitting the club to dance the night away? Well, at On Top you can do all three at the same time as the Park Hyatt is converting its 92nd floor into a club atmosphere. Acrophobics ponder carefully...

Sep 2, 10pm, free entry up until midnight with RSVP or RMB100 with welcome drink included. Park Hyatt Shanghai, see event listing.

Sep 2: Freddie For a Day

Freddie For a Day

Pull on that white vest, dig out those old white jeans and through sheer will power alone urge your upper lip to grow a moustache in time for Saturday as Roxie beckons you to join them in celebration of Freddie Mercury's upcoming birthday. Ten percent of the nights' proceedings will go toward the Mercury Phoenix AIDS Trust, with AIDS Services of Austin also a beneficiary. Oh and coming in costume as the man himself gets you a free shot. What's not to like?

Sep 2, 8pm. Roxie, see event listing.

Sep 3: Heat Wave Summer Club ft. M.A.N.D.Y. (Philipp Jung)

Heat Wave Summer Club ft. M.A.N.D.Y. (Philipp Jung)
