Shanghai
game fair Checkpoint! returns for another afternoon of locally-produced
video games, board games, workshops, talks, and VR demos. Expect a unique mix of indie games, from a horror detective story set in Hong Kong to a feminist take on Little Red Riding Hood. With the aim
of connecting people in the real world through gaming, the DIY fair's
debut last summer was a big hit.

Bang unleashes a few punk bands into the club for their latest party.
Shanghai bands Dirty Fingers and Mirrors join Cruel Buddhist, Baijiu
Robot, Kin.J and VJ Chen Xixi for a mash-up of live bands and electronic

queer party series is on a boat for their latest event. Cruise with
them along the Huangpu, watch the sun set and the skyscrapers go by as
you drink and dance to summer beats from Heatwolves of Love Bang.

Aug 11: Young Dragon Official Birthday Party

Young Dragon's taking over Le Baron this weekend, and given the waves
this Chinese-American rapper's been making - touring with people like
Rob Bank$ - you can expect an evening of heavy hip hop and low bass
beats.

The Mansion's really getting into the spirit of summer this weekend with a pool party starting at 2pm. Hosting a lineup of artists and resident DJs like Rainbow High, Letman, Gecko and more, their doors don't close until 7am, so you've got plenty of time to skirt on through.

continues their weekend pool parties at Pudong Shangri-la in August.
Head there for a dip in their terrace pool, cocktails, music and fun in
