The American thrash metal legends rose alongside Anthrax, Metallica and Slayer as the genre’s “big four” that took the music to unforeseen heights in the early 90s. 30 years after releasing their game-changing debut Peace Sells... But Who’s Buying?, Dave Mustaine and the boys are jetting around the world celebrating their legacy. The 11-time Grammy nominees are revered for their ferocious sound and heavy lyrics that tackle subjects from war to death. They’ve sold over 50 million records worldwide and are finally making their Mainland debut after a couple of past attempts were scuttled last minute.

On their newest disc, Medusae, they show off their softer side. Released on Maybe Mars, the album is inspired by frontman Joshua C. Love’s relationship with his mother.
