This
double-bill celebrates contemporary Lithuanian music pairing
electro-pop singer Jurga Seduikyte, who has collaborated live with
Bjork, with electronic group SillyCut.

Feb 15-16: Charles Foldesh Trio
A student of jazz legend, Billy Hart, drummer Charles Foldesh has toured around the world routinely performing at jazz festivals across all the continents. He teams up with pianist Nicholas Bouloukos and bassist Scott Dodd for his stop in Shanghai.

Feb 16: Periphery
The
Washington, D.C. based progressive metal band are considered pioneers
of the djent movement within the genre that emphasizes polyrhythmic
patterns and soaring melodies. They’ll be joined by Japanese progressive
metalcore band Abstracts who will previewing tracks from their upcoming
album, Hologram.

Feb 17: Altacamota, Vol. 1
This experimental and noise rock party makes its debut at Harley’s Underground featuring Shanghai noise legend Torturing Noise. Rounding out the bill is Mirrors and Acid & Aming.

This local metal showcase features new Japanese hardcore act D★D★D, Shanghainese metalcore favorites Fighting Back, Shanghai heavy metal supergroup O.V.E. and newcomers Second Sun.

Feb 18-19: Frozen Planet in Concert
Breathtaking
HD images culled from BBC’s landmark series celebrating “the majestic
and frozen wilderness of the Polar Regions” will serve as the backdrop
for a performance of George Fenton’s praised score performed live by the
Shanghai Opera House Orchestra. Award winning Shanghai born Zhang
Chengjie conducts. Suitable for ages five and up.

Feb 19: Space Out!
This
full-album listening party celebrates Jean Michel Jarre’s landmark Les
Concerts en Chine. The album documents the legendary 1981 concert where
Jarre became the first Western musician to perform in post-Mao China.
Video will also be incorporated - a Space Out! first.
