A Chinese national named Tang Yi died in Turkey earlier this week after he fell from a hot air balloon during a tour, and then had the balloon land on him.

Tang was standing in the balloon when a gust of wind hit and knocked him out. Tourists aren't typically allowed to stand while the balloon is in flight, but Tang was on his feet, taking photos - it is not clear whether this was the pilot's fault for not informing him of the rules, or if Tang disobeyed the pilot's orders.

After Tang fell from the balloon, the pilots scrambled to land as quickly as possible. They experienced a rough landing, literally on top of Tang, that also hurt nine other tourists onboard. Two of the injured are in serious condition with bone fractures, but the others had only minor injuries.

There has been no real word yet on who, exactly, is at fault here. There is a chance that Tang was disobeying the rules of the balloon trip and willfully stood up to take some photos but, considering they also botched the landing, there is also a decent possibility that this was pilot error.
