Shenzhen's subway system's overhead rail lines have been halted due to Typhoon Hato, according to the official Shenzhen Metro WeChat account at 10.26am today.

Closed areas of the metro are as follows:

Line 1: Hourui to Airport East

Line 3: Shuibei to Shuanglong

Line 5: Shenzhen North to Tanglang

Line 11: Airport Station to Bitou

Seperately, the Southern Metropolis Daily reports the closure of another line's overhead rail:

Line 4:  Minyue to Qinghu with 'limited' service between Futian Checkpoint and Shangmei Lin.

Only the northern part of Line 11 is halted, according to the report, meaning the airport is still accessible via subway from most of Shenzhen, as the underground areas of Shenzhen Metro will continue running.

Lines will begin normal operation depending on the weather, according to the report.
