A 25 year old man has been arrested for running a business which illegally deleted online posts for money in Zhengzhou, Henan province.

The Jinshui district procuratorate of Zhengzhou arrested the man, Li Wei, who made on average about 10,000 yuan ($1,642) a month while operating the business from home, according to the Dahe Daily.

Li was inspired after he watching a television news item about deleting online posts five months earlier. He then advertised his services on online chat services to attract potential clients.

According to experts, there are two common ways to delete posts, one is hacking and the other is through connections with people who run websites.

Li adopted the second method, acting as a middleman, he allegedly made around 50,000 yuan doing so over five months.
