Xian Cun, a village absorbed into the center of Zhujiang New Town, is finally being renovated.

On November 21, authorities posted notices around Xian Cun informing residents of the start of a new construction project.

Guangzhou-Revamp-1-1-.jpgThe reconstruction will cover the area near Liede Lu, Xiancun Jie, Jinsui Lu and Huangpu Lu, with a total area of 184,900 square meters. As for where the current residents will go, we are not sure.

As of today, they have already begun to tear down buildings.

Previously, we did a photo story to illustrate the haunting nature of this village. The images were well received and as a result we decided to venture into Xian at night, where darkness and prostitution rendered the area an entirely different world.
