On May 17, at roughly 5pm, the Liwan Police Department was alerted to a suspicious bag on Yuangang Lu, a bag that looked very much like it contained a human body.

Police rushed to the scene and discovered a large bag stuffed with an intact male corpse. Upon investigating, the man was identified as 48-year-old Huang (only his surname was given), a local citizen with a history of drug use, according to Yancheng Evening News

According to Huang’s employer, he had not attended work for “many days.”

The stink of the corpse was allegedly quite putrid, and it caused many passersby to quicken their pace (can’t say we blame them…).
