Win a New Huawei P10 Phone by Submitting Your Best Mobile Photos

When we launched our inaugural That’s PRD Smartphone Photography Contest last month, it was to pay homage to the myriad of readers who love documenting their day-to-day lives in this amazing place we call home: the Pearl River Delta.

In the two decades since the first publicly shared image was taken via cell phone by Philippe Kahn on June 11, 1997, mobile devices have become an essential tool for capturing everyday sights.

Globetrotters can now easily share photos of their adventures from anywhere with reception, foodies can metaphorically ‘blow up’ your Facebook and Instagram feeds with their latest culinary conquests and everyone else can take high-quality snapshots of their cat, or kid, or new bike, or whatever.

While there is no shortage of mobile phone producers currently battling for a slice of the smartphone market pie, one company stood out to us when planning the 2017 Smartphone Photography Contest: Huawei.

Aside from regularly receiving the praise of tech reviewers the world over, Huawei has a certain trick hidden up its sleeve in the 'mobile optics department.’ Said trick? The phenomenal dual Leica Camera AG lenses in the Huawei P9 and P10.

While our editors first had a chance to play with the P10 just yesterday, we have a long and proud history using the P9. Just check out this amazing shot taken by our digital editor using a Huawei P9 in Urumqi a few months back:

If you didn’t get the hint, we're big fans of the Huawei-Leica partnership and it's our pleasure to announce Huawei has thrown their support behind the 2017 That’s PRD Smartphone Photography Contest as the event’s exclusive smartphone sponsor!

What does that mean? Well for starters, some pretty rad prizes, including two brand-new Huawei P10 phones.

Without getting too techy, the P10 boasts a 5.1-inch display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5, 64 gigabytes of storage, four gigabytes of RAM and a 3,200 mAh battery with Huawei SuperCharge. (For more detailed specs, click here.)
