OK Go cancels due to ‘shipping problems’

Bad news for fans of quirky alternative rock quartet OK Go: the Shenzhen leg of their China tour has been canceled. The official reason given for skipping the southern stop is related to shipping. Apparently, the band has encountered problems transporting musical equipment down to our neck of the woods.

Those who have already purchased their tickets will be able to receive a full refund from the ticket booth where they purchased their ticket. If you are a die-hard fan who simply must see the ‘Here It Goes Again’ singers live, shows are still going ahead in Beijing and Shanghai. Just not Shenzhen.

It’s the second piece of bad luck for concert-goers in the metropolis. Last month, English singer-songwriter Mika also canceled his gig, citing health concerns. Perhaps Shenzhen just smells really bad?
