On May 29 the 2015 British Chamber Guangdong Golf Tournament was held at Xili Golf and Country Club in Shenzhen.

The event was the first Britcham golf tournament to take place in Shenzhen and was the organization’s largest sporting event ever, with 120 golfers hitting the green.

The format for this year’s event was Texas Scramble and golfers spent a total of five hours competing for various prizes.

The event’s top prize was a Mini Cooper, which was to be awarded to any golfer lucky enough to score a hole in one. Despite participant’s best efforts, no one managed to drain the ball in one go.

Other prizes, supplied by event sponsors, included luxury wine sets, health vouchers, dental vouchers, gym memberships, vouchers for 5-star hotel rooms and an all-expense paid trip to the home of golf at St. Andrews and return flight tickets from Hong Kong to the UK.

Golfers being golfers, the event also saw golf carts circulate the course to deliver delicious refreshments including Pimms and gin and tonics.
