Hip hop-centric club 1 OAK just opened on the South Bund near Lupu Bridge. The original 1 OAK opened its doors in Manhattan in 2007 and has since expanded to Las Vegas, Mexico City, Los Angeles, Tokyo and Dubai.
What makes 1 OAK so unique and different from any other club around the globe is the associated sense of mystery, curiosity and expectation of always having the best night possible. 1 OAK guests can be greeted on any given night by one-of-a-kind performances by celebrities, famous rap artists, DJ live performances and hip hop superstars.
1 OAK has been a host to the world's trendiest, sexiest, hottest parties, spanning VMA and MTV after parties, celebrity celebrations and multi-day events across multiple cities. If you've ever been to a 1 OAK party, you know that it's utterly indescribable, pure joy at its finest.
Famous DJs like Swizz Beatz and celebs spanning The Weeknd, Kanye West, Bruno Mars, Jay-Z and Beyonce have been known to grace these opulent, high-energy venues, and we hope the same will be true for Shanghai’s outpost.
1 OAK Brand Story
1 OAK, born of the catch phrase “1 Of A Kind,” has endured continuous waves of competition and outlasted the rise and fall of countless nightlife trends.
Boasting a rotation of world renowned DJs and surprise performances, a captivating interior and a stellar standard of service, 1 OAK provides a nightlife sensibility that caters to even the worldliest of partygoers.
Originally founded by native New Yorker Richie Akiva, the hospitality tycoon rose the ranks from Tribeca party promoter to owner of his own Butter Group, a now multi-million dollar portfolio of premier dining destinations and A-list hotspots.
All of the 1 OAK venues utilize the iconic and bold design elements conceived by the Mercer Project, an international boutique, art and design studio located in SOHO, New York. Roy Nachum, the mind behind the design, is also known for his installation art & artwork which includes the exhibitions inspired by Rihanna.
1 OAK has a global layout strategy with unique aesthetics and attitude,
