Shanghai welcomed the Belt and Road 2019 Expo to its world-famous Exhibition Center, as companies from over forty countries came together in a celebration of trade, culture and prosperity.
Running from May 31 to June 2, the Expo housed just under 270 businesses looking to either break into the Chinese market or cement their existing trade deals. Run by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CPIT), the Belt and Road Expo was launched in 2013 and has seen numerous high-end trade deals made since its opening.
Large crowds in attendance were welcomed by cultural dances from around the world in this spectacular showpiece of nations uniting under the banner of trade.
The Expo paved the way for businesses in five main industries to come together, with the Food and Beverage, Lifestyle, Tourism and Culture, Sport and Health and Investment and Trade sectors being heavily represented.
