That's Shanghai takes a look at the best nightlife events on this weekend:
Mar 14: Pariah

London/Amsterdam based producer Pariah is putting on a special White Day show (yes it's a thing: traditionally celebrated in Korea, Taiwan and Japan, on Valentine's Day women present men with gifts to show their love/obedience/whatever, and men are supposed to up the ante on March 14 if they don't want to assert their dominance over their partner) of heavy, mutating techno tracks. A lot goin' on here but we're here for it (the set at least, should be intense).
Mar 14, 9pm, RMB60 pre-sale, RMB80 door. ALL Club, see event listing.
Mar 14: ON

Once again, ON is...well, on, at Dada tonigh. Breakbeat, techno, house and acid, they've got Lina K (regularly at Celia) and a handful of other artists playing early into the morning for those looking to start their weekend off right and early.
Mar 14, 10pm, no cover. Dada, see event listing.
Mar 15: DJ Queenie Vinyl Set
Flyer courtesy of the promoter
Damn, The Cut does a mighty fine happy hour. And with DJ Queenie playing vinyl all night, we'd say you've got a couple of reasons to swing by iAPM this Friday. Drinks are from RMB40 as of 6pm, so head straight after work if you want to make the most of it - and it's finally starting to warm up so you can actually take advantage of that killer view.
Mar 14, 6pm, no cover. THE CUT Rooftop, see event listing.
Mar 15: Gregor Salto
Flyer courtesy of Bar Rouge
Known as a Latin house artist, Gregor Salto is a versatile DJ exploring the likes of pop, soul and world beat. The DJ/Producer takes the deck at the biggest clubs in Ibiza, is constantly collaborating with artists like Pitbull, and has remixed for pop stars like J-Lo and Rita Ora.
Mar 15, 9pm, RMB100 pre-sale, RMB200 door. Bar Rouge, see event listing, buy tickets.
Mar 15: Hologram Dreams
Flyer courtesy of Ink Sight Group
"A voyage from funk into the future…" DJs Heatwolves and special guest Illsee (Stockholm Syndrome/aqualung) take Dada's dancefloor on a hyperloop journey from city-pop, Italo disco, and Chicago house to new wave, electro and cybernetic madness. Celebrating a year of seminal classics, brand new sounds, unknown pleasures and rare anime visuals, this is bound to be one pretty pony of a party.
Mar 15, 10pm, no cover. Dada, see event listing.
Mar 15: Adiero and Nukier
Flyer courtesy of the promoter
Did you know Linx has a "secret room"? Well, they do, apparently, and this Friday you can catch the boys behind some of Bangkok's biggest pool parties playing there. No, there won't be a pool. We think. Not 100 percent sure on that, but we think it's safe to assume not, so don't show up in swim trunks or anything. Adiero and Nukier hail from Spain with a whole set of local support and tickets include a drink.
Mar 15, 10pm, RMB70 pre-sale, RMB100 door. Linx Club, see event listing, buy tickets.
Mar 15: Yeti Dis:ko
Flyer courtesy of the promoter
Just look at that Matisse-esque flyer. Lovin' those cut outs. But on the music front, Yeti Dis:ko's teaming up with Japan's renowned rainbow disco club (?!) to throw a spring party with international acts, local favorites and resident DJs.
Mar 15, 10pm, RMB100 pre-sale, RMB120 door. 44KW, see event listing.
Mar 15: Pell and Kitsuné Club Night

Infamous New Orlean's rapper Pell is heading up Le Baron's Kitsuné Club Night alongside Soulection Art Director Andre Power. Table reservations are always recommended, otherwise you'll want to be in before midnight (10pm if you want to be safe).
Mar 15, 10pm, no cover. Le Baron, see event listing.
Mar 17: St Patrick's Day Festivities

It's time for the grand old Irish (*cough* American) holiday again, where drinks are plenty and pinching is deemed socially acceptable for a day. There is a whole mess of things to do, so just check out our full list and make an educated decision for yourself. Just don't forget, it's a Sunday. But you're an adult. You can make your own decisions.
Mar 17, see event listings.
Mar 17: Be A Legend
Flyer courtesy of the McKinnon
The home of Sleep No More will be putting on an immersive karaoke experience later this month in what looks like a full-on, flashy party. We're not really sure what to expect, but the McKinnon has yet to let us down, so this is on our list of things do to.
Mar 17, 7pm, RMB300 includes one soft drink. McKinnon Hotel, see event listing.
