Stone Beer University is back with a guided tasting event focusing on 'Gender Roles and Beer' led by Taihu Brewing's head brewmaster — and one of the top female brewers in Asia — Winnie Hsu. She will tell you why the concept of 'women's beer' is bullshit as you leave fruity over carbonated junk behind to embrace bold new flavor profiles. Since it's International Women's Day, women get 50 percent off the RMB188 ticket price for six beer tasters (5 ounce pours) plus 10 percent off all takeaway beer purchases. Men are still encouraged to join!

Mar 8, 4-5.30pm, RMB188 (RMB99 for ladies). Stone Brewing Tap Room, see event listing

Mar 8: Hooked & El Santo's 2nd Birthday Party

In what seems like the blink of an eye, Found 158 favorites El Santo and Hooked are turning two years old. They may sound like a baby bandito fisherman but we all know better, their pasts are littered with many wild adult nights and crazy mornings. Rest assured, this Friday, 8th March will be no different.
House DJs start rocking from 8pm ‘til late, while Eduardo & Hardeep (the coolest chefs in Shanghai) will be smashing it on the dance floor.
There will be drinks and food deals galore so mark it down in your calendar as this is the night that they will be talking about until next year’s party.

Mar 8, 8pm-late, from RMB25. El Santo and Hooked, see event listing

Mar 8: Taihu Beer Tap Takeover

The brews will be flowing with ten Taihu beers on tap along with numerous specialty bottles to sample. Purchase beer flights to enter the Taihu Brewing Lucky Draw and win limited edition Taihu merchandise and beer.
