Chen Ke: The Real Deal is Talking with Dad

Beijing-based artist Chen Ke’s solo exhibition features a series of mixed media paintings and installations inspired by daily dialogues with her father, a traditional Chinese painter who taught at a middle school. Exploring family, youth and aging, the exhibition is filled with images attached to the artist's individual memories of her father, yet still providing a blank space for the audience to find their own deja vu.
Until Mar 24, Yuz Museum.

Sid Vicious, David Bowie, Liz Taylor and the Kennedys - superstars are on display via Russell Young's pop-icon screenprints. He plays into idolization, image and their not so glamorous reality in dozens of larger-than-life paintings.
Until Jan 6, Modern Art Museum Shanghai.
Pollen: Ugo Schildge Solo Show
This exhibition is Ugo Schildge's Asia debut. As the newest artist signed with the gallery, his work evaluates our relationship with nature and the role of pollenation in the ecosystem through allegorical tales of a world devoid of natural resources.
Until Jan 13, Galerie Dumonteil.
Peter Passed By Here: Guo Xi Solo Show
Guo Xi is an impressionable man – literally and figuratively. The artist's second solo show at Vanguard Gallery includes installations, sculptures and paintings of what look like footprints left in cement or soil. Inspired by the constant renovations in Hangzhou and the impressions left by trodding soles, he imagines their names, their histories and their stories through this body of work. This is the last weekend to check this exhibition out!
Until Dec 31, Vanguard Gallery.
