Earlier, reports emerged that authorities were considering tearing down Laowai Jie, a popular restaurant and bar street among foreigners in Hongqiao and Gubei. It's not totally certain yet that the street will shut down, but in the wake of what happened to Yongkang Lu last year, Laowai Jie's fate seems sealed... and doomed.
