A man was detained over the weekend for making fake bomb calls, saying a bomb had been planted in an airport.

The man, surnamed Liu, was arrested by Hongkou district police on Saturday.

Police didn't identify which airport Liu had targeted. Liu also threatened to attack a bank with explosives.

According to police, Liu made the hoax claims "out of grudge over some personal issues." He's being held for making up and spreading false terrorist information.
