If there is one thing people of all nations can get behind in Shanghai it is Thanksgiving. It is like a cheeky, early bonus Christmas dinner. And before Thanksgiving Thanksgiving, there is Canadian Thanksgiving, which is like a an even cheekier, even earlier bonus Christmas dinner.

And The Cannery have got you sorted tonight. And tomorrow night. And Monday night.

Just RMB298 for this lot in fact... Slow-cooked roast whole turkey, stuffed with foie gras and porcini, with rosemary, sage jus and cranberry ginger jam. Pumpkin parmesan gratin, fermented veggies, brussel sprouts and pancetta casserole and smoked garlic creamy mashed potatoes. Pumpkin pie for dessert. And punch and cocktails.

Oh Canada!
