A patient at the Jing’an District Central Hospital in Shanghai was detained by police on Friday for punching a doctor in the face. According to Shanghai Daily, he had been drinking earlier.
During standard treatment for a cut, the 36 year-old repeatedly hit his doctor, causing serious injuries to his eyes and face. The doctor ended up needing seven stitches.
According to the Shanghai Daily, the two did not know each other before the incident.
