Months after bringing the Budweiser STORM Festival to Shanghai and Shenzhen, A2LiVE are throwing their first New Year’s Eve extravaganza. Now or Never continues the standard of amazing production values, world-class lighting shows and international DJs that the festival established, but transports it all inside. Here’s the lowdown on the glitzy indoor warehouse party that promises to be a deluxe way to ring in 2016.
Zedd
When the Russian-German producer first came to town for the inaugural STORM Festival, he was an upstart known for working with Lady Gaga. Now, he’s a bonafide star thanks to worldwide hits like ‘Clarity.’ The Grammy Award winner now straddles the line between electro house and the pop world, where he’s worked with Bieber, Selena and Ariana, while broadening his sound with this year’s chart-topping album, True Colors. Listen to Zedd on Soundcloud and QQ Music.
Otto Knows
The Swedish chart topper has collaborated with Britney Spears, remixed Imogen Heap and made a grand debut in the music scene with his Tim Bergling (aka Avicii) and Oliver Ingrosso collaboration ‘iTrack.’ With a propulsive electro house and progressive house sound, the ‘Work Bitch’ producer is responsible for solo hits like ‘Million Voices’ and this summer’s banger ‘Next to Me.’ Listen to Otto Knows on Soundcloud and QQ Music.
Styline
The German DJ has become a worldwide Internet phenomenon with over 200 million views of his high-octane sets. Known for his trademark ‘Power House’ mix of electro, dance and progressive house, he’ll be bringing his trademark energetic show back to Shanghai, months after a recent China tour. Listen to Styline on Soundcloud and Mixcloud.
Om
The brains behind the Budweiser STORM Festival is also a respected DJ known for long deep mixes with breakbeats and alternative tech-house. He’s spun across the world from New York to Tokyo, performing along side the likes of Christopher Lawrence, Ken Ishii and Sander Kleinenberg. Listen to Om on Soundcloud.
Carta
The Shanghai-born Italian Chinese DJ and producer may be just 19 years old, but he’s already a rising force within China’s dance scene. He started DJing at 13 and began producing at 16, crafting a distinct sound that’s made him the only Chinese DJ to be picked up by Spinnin’ sub-label Doorn Records. He’s since rocked the crowds at this year’s Budweiser STORM Festival and released a track on Juicy M’s imprint Jump Records. Listen to Carta on Soundcloud.
