The same folks who brought you eggs ‘n’ pancakes fare at AE Kitchen proudly present their latest venture, Sherman. Located in the newly open Hubin Dao shopping center, this sleek and spacious cafe serves all-day breakfast and brunch as well as meatier Western dishes.
While being a full service cafe, Sherman also has a wide array of baked goods. We’ll happily admit: we thought their bread was fantastic – chewy and crusty like how a good loaf should be. Breads such as the whole grain and sourdough varietals appeal to Western palates, while sweeter offerings such as the fig roll perhaps suit local tastes more.
The chicken avocado omelette (RMB58) is creamy and savory, and it’s a great place to pop in for a coffee (RMB20-30) with colleagues.
Sherman keeps their offerings simple and frills-free, and we mean that in the best way possible. It’s a great addition to the area for a satisfying brunch, office lunch, or dinner.
