As cultural immersion travel continues to gain momentum, today’s travelers are looking far beyond simple sightseeing. They seek to delve into the very fabric of their destination, uncovering its profound historical heritage and cultural treasures. According to Hilton’s 2025 Trends Report, more than 80% of Chinese travelers seek to weave themselves into the cultural tapestry of their destinations.
In response, Hilton has unveiled a far-reaching cultural immersion initiative that artfully blends the grace of Hilton hospitality with authentic local encounters — from artisan-led heritage workshops and culinary explorations to curated exhibitions. This program transforms a hotel stay into the first chapter of an enriching cultural narrative, bringing to life Hilton’s brand promise: It Matters Where You Stay.
Hilton’s nine hotels in Beijing have embraced this vision with the launch of “A Day Along the Timeless Axis with Hilton”—an exclusive experience crafted under the brand’s new cultural destination campaign "Stay Hilton, Stay Local" on September 16, this new experience will be available from September 15, 2025 to March 31, 2026, allowing guests to book seamlessly through Hilton’s Fliggy flagship store, official Douyin store for staying with Hilton with an inspiring exploration along Beijing’s storied Central Axis, immersing themselves like a true local in the timeless rhythm of the city.
During the event, guests were invited to ascend the ancient Drum Tower and trace the 600-year legacy of the Central Axis’ northern origin, or enjoy a tranquil boat ride through the serene waters of Shichahai, hutong walks, and interactive heritage workshops. The experience culminated in a captivating cultural performance brimming with authentic Beijing character, elegantly revealing the timeless charm of the city’s historic heart.
