At least five people were arrested in Chongqing this week for running an app that offered a "large amount" of sex videos, Shanghai Daily reports.
Police say the group earned over RMB600,000 from the videos. They began investigating the app, "Youshi," last month.
The app, which had both Android and iOS versions, contained amateur sex tapes and could be downloaded for a fee. It has been downloaded over 20,000 times since December.

A Shanghai woman who uploaded a video to the app was also arrested. The woman, surnamed He, used her full name in her profile and was tracked down by Jiading district police after one of her videos was discovered at the top of the charts.
Police say He, a married 35-year-old mother, had uploaded more than 100 pornographic videos, charging users up to RMB300 to view them. She told Shanghai Daily she had made over RMB200,000 from the videos since last summer.
One of the founders of the app, surnamed Zhou, also told Shanghai Daily that uploaders usually posted their videos late at night before deleting them the next morning.
